So I was at the Wal-Mart in Ocoee, FL today. They now have a queue (like at a theme park) for the “Self Checkout” lanes. Also, check out the upper left corner of the photo - there is an automatic sign to say what lane is available. There is also an audio tone to alert customers to “Step to lane 2 please.” It was all very weird. Is this really the new face of retailers and customer service in America?
